Why praising Allah is a must
Celebrating the praise of Him are the sevens heavens and earth and everyone in them, and there is nothing that does not celebrate His praise but you cannot understand their praise; truly He is Clement, Forgiving. Chapter 17: 44
تُسّبح له السموات السبع والارض ومن فیهنّ وان من شیئ الاّیُسبّح بحمده ولکن لاتفقهون تسبیحهم انّه کان حلیما غفورا.
Not only does son of Adam praise you, but every single nightingale over a branch does make melodious hum.
تسبیح گوی تونه بنی آدمست وبس هربلبلی است که زمزمه برساخشارکرد
Glorification of Allah (God), Praising of Allah, promulgating that no god is beside Allah, and Allah is the greatest of whatever is described are the essence of the four corner of His throne.
سبحان الله، والحمدلله، ولااله الاّ الله، والله اکبر
The fifth Imam, Imam Baqer, peace be upon him has coated the honored Prophet that instead of saying each of the following term of, Subhan Allah, Alhamo lellah, La-elaaha-illa-Allah, and Allaho Akbar Allah will grow a tree for him in Paradise. In such a case we will have many trees in the Paradise, some of his companions said. If you do not burn all of them with your wrong doing, The honored prophet replied.
Usually seeing natural phenomena makes people oblivious to them.
And so many signs in the heavens and earth are given to them continuously, but they pass by them heedlessly? 12: 105
وکاینّ من آیه فی السموات والارض یمروّن علیهاوهم عنهامعرضون.
If you had an eye open to see all secrets, you would realize that all tiny particles of the whole world would be intimate (very close) to you. That is why water’ utter, dust’s utter and mud’s utter are only felt by the virtuous. Therefore you would feel that all tiny particles within invisible world were talking to you days and nights. In other words, they are hearer, seer and conscious; but we are silent to you O aliens. Thus turn to the essence of the soul by leaving the corps until you can hear the uproar of the world components. In such a case, the praise of solid state will be heard to you frankly, and the insinuation of the true meanings things will be revealed to you.
گرتراازغیب، چشمی بازشد باتوذراّت جهان، همرازشد نطق آب ونطق خاک ونطق گل هست محسوس حواس اهل دل جمله ذراّت، درعالم، نهان باتومیگویند، روزان وشبان
ماسمیعیم وبصیروباهشیم باشمانامحرمان، ماخاموشیم ازجمادی سوی جان جان شوید
غلغل اجزای عالم بشنوید فاش، تسبیح جمادات، آیدت وسوسه تاویلها، بکشایدت
While every single creature praises Allah, most people neglect to do so whereas looking backward they surely would realize how many lovely things they wished to be done but they could not realize, while many disgusting things they would avoid but they did. And passing time proved them that whatever happened to them was absolutely in their own benefit. This is because not only the Almighty, our Creator does know the outcome of affairs but He does really know what everybody would need in his life time. A conscious gardener routinely would take care of everything he grows because he knows well what growing things need. Can we believe the Creator and Planner of this world who has managed it without fail for millions of years meticulously and harmoniously does not know? Should we, as human beings, not praise Him for every step He has invested for our life?
Looking at the mountains, you think they are solid firm while they move like clouds move. This is the make of Allah who has perfected everything; surely He is All-Aware of what you should do. 27: 88
وتری الجبال تحسبهاجامده وهی تمرّ مرّ السحاب. صنع الله الذی اتقن کل شیئ. انهّ خبیربماتفعلون.
Allah is He who created the seven Heavens and of the earth the like of them. The command continuously descends among them. This is to let you know that Allah has all power over everything and indeed Allah encompasses all things in His knowledge. 65: 12
الله الذی خلق سبع سموات ومن الارض مثلهنّ، یتنزّل الامربینهنّ لتعلمواانّ الله علی کلّ شیئ قدیروانّ الله قداحاط یکلّ شیئ علما.
The soul, the vital part of human body, granted by the Most Gracious is in charge of maintaining our body active as it wills. It makes our body resist against most pathogenic germs, prevent it from decaying factors, and keeps it busy with our daily chores whether easy or hard. Since undisciplined nature of human soul is fascinated mostly with easy-going tasks than hard ones, our behaviors are seriously related to our mentality. But because our mind is based on self-love, pleasure-taking, and caring about best things; it routinely would escape human ethics unless otherwise is controlled by Devine disciplines. In addition man cannot live alone and he must share his life with others, he has no choice but to live with others in a serious mutual understanding which is not possible unless following Devine rules. it routinely refuses Divines On the other hand, the material world is loaded with plenty of distracting factors. Fortunately Allah, the Most Considerate has ever considered every single physical and moral thing for His servants, so that it they want to count His blessings the never be able to do that.
And He has given you all that you have requested so if you want to count Allah’s blessings you cannot count, most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful 14: 34
وآتاکم من کلّ ماسئلتموه وان تعدوّانعمت الله لاتحصوها، انّ الانسان لظلوم کفاّر.
And He has showered you with His external and internal blessings. 31: 20
واسبغ علیکم نعمه ظاهره وباطنه.
Although neither we nor our requests were present, Your Grace was perfectly able to hear untold requests.
مانبودیم وتقاضاهامان، نبود لطف تو ناگفته های ما می شنود
While Allah has ever guided His ordinary creatures by displaying their true and hidden nature through a direct line of prophets or messengers; He Himself has ever paved every material things for them to live in real comfort. Otherwise a perpetual conflict would destroy every human society. That is why He sent the seal of the prophets with a comprehensive religious law for every single human from 14 centuries ago to the end of this life as a mercy for the whole.
Not only has eternally been a Master on the right path, the seal of His prophets and his real successors have been perfectly masters on the right path too in order to guide people correctly.
Surely I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and yours, and no creature would be left uncontrolled. Surely my Lord has the mastery on the right path. 11; 56
انیّ توکلت علی الله، ربیّ وربّکم، مامن دابهّ الاّهو آخذبناصیتها، انّ ربیّ علی صراط مستقیم.
Y.S. by the Quran, full of wisdom, most surely you (O prophet) are one of the dispatched who has the mastery on the right path. 36:1-4
یس، والقرآن الحکیم، انّک لمن المرسلین علی صراط مستقیم.
God has set an example of two men: one of them is dumb, not able to do anything, so he is just a burden (totally dependable) on his master, wherever he is sent, would bring nothing good. Is he, with all those qualities, equal to one who is on the right path and commands with justice? 16: 76
ضرب الله مثلارجلین احدهماابکم لایقدرعلی شیئ وهوکلّ علی مولاه اینمایوجّهه لایات بخیر، هل یستوی هوومن یامربالعدل وهوعلی صراط مستقیم؟
Say this my way to invite to Allah on the basis of insight and so do those who follow me perfectly, glory is due to Allah and I am not one of the polytheists. 12: 108
قل هذه سبیلی ادعواالی الله علی بصیره اناومن اتبعنیّ ، ومن سیحان الله وماانامن المشرکین.
Since we have no choice but to live with each other, if we take care all rights for ourselves without sharing any right with others; surely others will take the same position against us thus an absolute chaotic situation will prevail any society. Considering our body, a precocious death will soon happen when a hostile competition would arise between cancer cells and normal cells. This is because not only cancer cells fail to cooperate with normal cells, but they take all advantages for growing faster than normal, and disregarding others’ right.
And when We want to destroy a town (a body) with a total destruction, We first send Our Command to its people (cells). But when the wealthy and disobedient people (cancer cells) deviate from the right path then they will be entitled for punishment (the word against them) will be proved for their total destruction. 17: 16
واذااردناان نهلک قریه امرنامترفیهاففسقوافیهافحقّ علیهاالقول فدمرناهاتدمیرا.
Do we have any idea why Allah created human differently from other creatures?
In fact Allah was a concealed treasure, and there was no mean to be known, but He loved to be known, so He created human with some intelligence to be able to know Him through his earnest and sincere attempt. Therefore, through teaching him and sending qualified authority, He committed him to take responsibility by following the Devine commands. As a result, He paved all things for him in order to reach this goal. That is why our praising for Him is a must.
کنت کنزامخفیّا فاحببت لکی اعرف، فخلقت الخلق لآن اعرف.
Did I not make a covenant with you, O Adam’s children that you should not serve Devil surely he is an open enemy of yours, so you should serve Me alone because the only right path is Mine? Indeed he has misled a number of you. Have you not applied your intellect? 36: 60-62
الم اعهدالیکم یابنی آدم ان لاتعبدواالشیطان انهّ لکم عدوّمبین وان اعبدونی هذاصراط مستقیم ولقداضلّ منکم جبّلا کثیراافلم تکونواتعقلون؟
In the creation of the heavens and earth and in the difference of the night and day or in their coming and going are sings for the people of intelligence, those who routinely think about Allah’s creation while standing, sitting and lying on their sides. Reflecting the creation of the heavens and earth, they will realize hidden facts to express, ‘O Lord! You have created nothing in vain. You are far above of what they describe you, extolling you, save us from the Fire agony. 3: 191, 192
انّ فی خلق السموات والارض واختلاف الیل والنهارلآیات لاولی الالباب، الذین یذکرون الله قیاماوقعودا وعلی جنوبهم ویتفکروّن فی خلق السموات والارض ربّناماخلقت هذاباطلاسبحانک فقناعذاب النار.
To prove the authenticity of such claim and being convinced that praising, extolling and glorifying Allah is a must, human is exposed to numerous revelations to name a few are:
1-We have created you why do you not consider it as a truth? Have you ever considered what you emit? Is it you that create it, or are We the Creator? 56: 57-59
نحن خلقناکم فلولاتصدقون، افرآیتم ماتمنون؟ ءانتم تخلقونه ام نحن الخالقون؟
This revelation, among millions of Allah’s master-pieces, establishes that Allah has power over all things (Omnipotence) and He is fully aware of everything (Omniscience).
It is obvious that all cells in human body have 46 chromosomes except for (male and female seeds) which has each only 23 chromosomes to make an egg of 46 chromosomes after male and female seeds being combined. Otherwise combining of two cells of 46 chromosomes will certainly make anything else other than a human. That is why other revelation in this respect has described the semen “despicable fluid” because their chromosomic value is half of other normal cells.
Did We create you from a despicable fluid. 77:20
الم نخلقکم من ماء مهین
2-Have you ever considered what you cultivate? Is it you to grow or are We its Grower? If We will, We can turn it into hay, then you will lament. 56:63-65
افرآیتم ماتحرثون؟ ءانتم تزرعونه ام نحن الزارعون؟ لونشاء لجعلناه حطامافظلتم تفکّهون.
Every single seed sown and cast into the earth for growing has two opposite characters of positive and negative phototropism by the command of Allah. Through a negative phototropism any given seed makes roots into the earth to receive water and mineral, and by its positive phototropism it makes a stem into the air to get sun light and combine carbon dioxide with water for making plant sugar during day light and distribute it to different parts of the plant for its growing. If there were no light on earth, not only plants would die but all living organism would die as well. And again if there were no dark cycle no plant would take rest and would die soon because of continuous exhaustion, consequently no living thing would stay on earth; thus the light-dark cycle of nature is quite necessary for life continuity.
Say, tell me, had Allah maid the night perpetual upon you until the Day of Resurrection, which god other than Allah could provide you with light? Do you not then hear? Say, tell me, Had Allah maid the day perpetual upon you until the Day of Resurrection which god other than Allah could provide you with night to take rest therein; do you then see? And it is out of His Mercy that He made for you the night and day in order to take rest during the night and seek His grace during the day and you may give thanks. 28: 71-73
قل ارایتم ان جعل الله علیکم الیل سرمداالی یوم القیامه من اله غیرالله یاتیکم بضیاء، افلاتسمعون؟ قل ارایتم ان جعل الله علیکم النهارسرمداالی یوم القیامه من اله غیرالله یاتیکم بلیل تسکنون فیه، افلاتبصرون؟ ومن رحمته جعل لکم الیل والنهارلتسکنوافیه ولتبتغوامن فضله ولعلکم تشکرون.
3- Have you ever considered the water which you drink? Is it you that send it down from white rain cloud or are We the Sender? If We would like We make it salty, why do you not then give thanks? 56: 68-70
افرآیتم الماء الذی تشربون؟ ءانتم انزلتموه من المزن ام نحن المنزلون؟ لونشاء اجاجاً فلولاتشکرون؟
افرآیتم النارالتی تورون؟ ءانتم انشائتم شجرتهاام نحن المنشئون؟ نحن جعلناهاتذکره ومتاعاللمقوین.
During fetal life, a perfect physical growth condition is needed for a fetus to complete its term to come out and live in this world in comfort. The same prerequisite is quite necessary for human to get a perfect spiritual and physical growth to enjoy individually and socially in this world and be eligible for a wonderful life in the hereafter as well. But we witness that people take four different moral positions against each other in this world. Worst of all is dealing each other with injustice and hostility. That is taking hostile reaction against friendly behavior. While conducting justice is much better, better than that is to be fair with one another when observing each other’s rights. But the best one is taking friendly reaction against hostile behavior. Allah, the Most Compassionate has ever been Compassionate to His creatures, by giving them respite and not punishing them immediately even they take hostile position to Him. Should we not learn and take lesson from our Creator to adjust ourselves?
“Seek the future abode through what Allah has given to you without neglecting you share in this world, and you should be beneficent as Allah has ever been beneficent to you too and do not seek any corruption on earth; surely Allah does not love the corrupt.” 28: 83
وابتغ فیماآتاک الله الدارآخره ولاتنس نصیبک من الدنیاواحسن کمااحسن الله علیک ولاتبغ الفسادفی الارض والله لایحب المفسدین.
“Surely We dispatched Our messengers with clear evidences and We sent down the Book and the scale with them in order that people uphold fairness.” 57: 25
لقدارسلنارسلنابالبیّنات وانزلنا معهم الکتاب والمیزان لیقوم الناس بالقسط.
The reasons why we must praise Allah earnestly and seriously
The Almighty has never failed to do the best for His creatures. To name a few are as follows:
1-What should Allah punish you if you believe and are grateful while Allah has ever been All-Knowing Appreciator? 4: 147
مایفعل الله بعذابکم ان شکرتم وآمنتم وکان الله شاکراعلیما؟
2-Say, to whom belong what is in the heavens and earth? Say to Allah who has prescribed Mercy upon Himself. 6: 12
قل لمن مافی السموات والارض، قل لله؟ کتب علی نفسه الرحمه.
3-Inform My servants that I am the Forgiver, the Most Merciful. 15: 49
نبّئ عبادی انیّ اناالغفورالرحیم.
4-And surely I am the Most Forgiver for those who repent, believe, do good deeds and continue to be rightly guided. 20: 82
وانیّ لغفاّرلمن تاب وآمن وعمل صالحاثمّ اهتدی.
4-Exempted are those who repent, believe, do good deeds, then Allah will change their evil deeds to their good credit, because Allah has ever been Forgiver, Merciful. 25: 70
الاّمن تاب وآمن وعمل عملاصالحافاولئک یبدلّ الله حسناتهم حسنات وکان الله غفورارحیما.
5-Say, O My servants, who exceeded limits against their own souls never be desperate from Allah’s Mercy, surely Allah forgives all sins, sure He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful. 39: 53
قل یاعبادی الذین اسرفواعلی انفسهم لاتقنطوامن رحمه الله، انّ الله یغفرالذنوب جمیعا، انّه هوالغفورالرحیم.
